July 10th 2024 City Council Meeting

Council President Chad Anderson was not in attendance. 

The Council considered aeration piping & controls on wastewater improvement. The main discussion was over which brand of components to use. Motion was made to go with LS brand 

Councilman Rick Tundag and Councilman Stegen Phillips Voted In Favor 

Councilwoman Joanne Justesen Voted Opposed 

The Council discussed a  Development Agreement with Advanced Biofuels of Idaho for the old ethanol plant north of Heyburn Cemetery.

Council Voted Unanimously in favor.

City Attorney Paul Ross read the 2nd of 3 readings of Ordinance No. 2024-688 Establishing regulations for small cells

Officer Kuta of the Heyburn Police presented resolutions 2024-5 and 2024-6 for destruction of City Office and Heyburn Police records and evidence that is no longer relevant. Motion Made to Approve resolutions.

Council Voted Unanimously in favor.

Following Executive Session Mayor Dick Galbraith explained  why the city was considering the acquisition of Agri-Service Property located at 300 South 600 West. Motion made to Pursue the acquisition without selling the street division Property. The purchase would simply be an investment opportunity.
